I contemplated putting it down and not finishing it multiple times, but I’m glad that I pushed through and read it to the very end. Review: It took me awhile to get interested in this book. It’s up to Sophia and her friend, Theo, to traverse the vast unknown to find and save Shadrack, but they won’t be able to do it without help along the way. ![]() He begins to teach her how to read the unique maps of their world, but soon after their lessons begin, he is kidnapped by an evil being who wants to use his map for their own wicked scheme. ![]() Now, in 1891, Sophia Tims’s uncle, Shadrack, is one of the world’s most renowned cartologers and mapmakers.
